17th May 2012: The final of the 2011-2012 Premier League Individual will take place in Roadstone Snooker Club next Wednesday 23rd May. Brendan Thomas (Roadstone 'B') will take on Mark Dooley (Roadstone 'A'). All the results from the individual so far are here.

15th May 2012: The DBSL would like to offers its condolences to Bobby Carroll, who passed away on Sunday evening. Bobby was the RIBSA national coach in the late 1980's and early 1990's and represented Cross Guns Snooker Club in the DBSL for many years. Bobby is also the uncle of Finbarr Ruane who runs Cross Guns. Our thoughts go out to him and Bobby's family.

10th May 2012: Terry Rogers 'A' won the Premier League Cup, beating Roadstone 'B' in the final. All the cup results from all divisions are available here.

6th May 2012: Wayne Doyle (Glenageary) won the 2011-2012 Intermediate Billiards Championship which was held in Carlow today. He beat John Kehoe (Enniscorthy) 500-343 in the final.

5th May 2012: Howth CYMS and Guinness won the Division 1 and Division 2 Cup Finals respectively today. Howth CYMS beat holders Willows 'A' 8-2 in the Division 1 Cup Final, while Guinness won 8-6 against Willows 'B' in the Division 2 final. All the results from the day are available here.

27th April 2012: A number of players have inquired about the possibility of having a billiards league or tournament in the next month or so. If it was a league, the suggestion is that each team would have 2 players. DBSL would like to know if players would be interested in playing in such a league or tournament so e-mail into the site if you are interested.

27th April 2012: The DBSL would like to offers its condolences to Wesley and Craig Savage who play for Terry Rogers 'A' whose mother passed away this week. Our thoughts go out to them and their family.

27th April 2012: The DBSL learnt of the passing of Michael Fagan who played for many DBSL clubs over the years, most notably Q's of Clondalkin. Our condolences go out to Michael's family.

27th April 2012: The Presentation Night will take place in Faugh's GAA Club in Templeogue on Friday 25th May at 8pm where Fergal O'Brien will be in attendance. Tickets are €20.00.

15th April 2012: Peter Murphy (Willows 'A') won the 3rd Over 35's in Roadstone Snooker Club today. This was Peter's 2nd win in a row. He beat Robert Garvey (Roadstone 'C') 2-1 in the final.

15th April 2012: Former professional Joe Delaney beat Robert Redmond (Roadstone 'A') 5-3 in the final of the 7th RIBSA Senior Ranking Tournament in Navan today.

7th April 2012: Wayne Doyle (Glenageary) won the 2011-2012 Division 1 Individual which was held in Darcy McGees Snooker Club today. He beat Chris Humphries (Classic) 3-0 in the final. He also made the highest break, a 102 against Stephen Merrigan JNR (Roadstone 'C') in the quarter-final. All the results from the day are available here.

26th February 2012: Willows Snooker Club are holding a handicapped weekly flyer every Wednedsday at 8pm. Entry is 12 euro (with 1 or 2 buy-backs at 8 euro usually available on the night depending on number of participants). Any players interested in playing can turn up on the night or contact Mark Farrell at 086-3553282 for further details. Full bar is available and all are welcome.

26th February 2012: Darcy McGee's Snooker Club have introduced a Junior Snooker Academy which will take place every Saturday from 12 noon. Coaching is provided by EBSA coach Peter Troy and offers include 1 hours snooker and coaching for €10.00 or 2 hours snooker and coaching for €15.00. 26th February 2012: CrossGuns Snooker Club are holding junior snooker competitions every second Saturday starting this March. All junior players under the age of 16 are welcome to enter. Entry fee will be €10.00 which will include table cost. Each competition will be limited to 16 players each week, with all matches best of 3 frames. International and league players will be seeded.
